‘House Party’ Podcast: Will the ‘MTV Cribs’ Reboot Be a Bust? Plus, Homes of the NXIVM Sex Cult

House Party

House Party” is realtor.com®’s official podcast about the overlapping worlds of real estate and pop culture, hosted by Natalie Way and Rachel Stults. Click the player above to hear our take on this week’s hot topics.

It’s been 20 years since “MTV Cribs” first graced our television screens. Now, MTV International is rebooting the iconic show, and promises to take us inside the homes of  such celebrities as Caitlyn Jenner, Nickelodeon personality and singer JoJo Siwa, former “Glee” star Kevin McHale, and the British singer Stefflon Don. We reminisce about the “Cribs” days of yore, and discuss whether bringing it back is the right move.

Other segments this week:

  • We do a deep dive on HBO’s “The Vow,” the nine-part documentary that gives an inside look at the twisted “sex cult” called NXIVM and its leader, Keith Raniere. Natalie and Rachel offer up their respective thoughts on the doc (was it an HBO miss?) and discuss what will happen to the homes where the cult enslaved, brainwashed, and branded dozens of women.
  • Speaking of creepy, we have an update on the house where Buffalo Bill lived in the epic thriller “Silence of the Lambs.”
  • More creep factor: This one-of-a-kind jail-cell house is back on the market!
  • Plus, this week’s real estate winner and loser
