Raveena Tandon turned 46-year-old on her birthday today. The ‘Tip Tip’ famed actress is known to have a bold choice in her professional life. She also chose to be bold in real life, when Raveena made some statements after actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.

After Sushant’s demise on June 14, 2020, under mysterious circumstances, many voiced for his justice, after which various entities – Mumbai Police, Bombay High Court, Bihar Police, CBI, ED, NCB and AIIMS – got involved in the process. During the investigation, ED unearthed a drugs connection with the case, which then opened up a whole new case – the Bollywood drugs nexus. Raveena has spoken about both on a public platform.

While Rhea Chakraborty was arrested and under NCB custody for a long time, actor Kangana Ranaut had accused Bollywood entities of running a mafia. She later even accused the Mumbai Police and Maharashtra Government of being involved and said she feared them.

On seeing the situation, Raveena had shared, “Crushing,Demolishing,Mayhem.Sad Sad.All thats happening. Two women,Two sides, are they being used as pawns to vent out dirty political vendettas?Murder,Nepotism,Suicide,Familym Grief, Mental Health, Mafia, Vendetta, Cops, Journalism, Politics, Drugs, Films. #JusticeForSSR shouldn’t be diluted.”

She did not name the actress who had been pointing fingers at Bollywood, but shared that she would not indulge in mudslinging. She tweeted, “I detest what has happened.I detest what is happening.I believe the law will take its course.I believe justice will prevail.I stand for what will be the truth.I refuse to take any political side.Or be part of any Pr Campaign.Or mud slinging on any person until verdict of Law.”

She also spoke about the drugs issue in Bollywood which was unearthed after the case was investigated. “Drugs, ruins entire generations.Time to unearth/uproot this from the base.Lets not stop at Bollywood, sandalwood or all collective woods.Get after it with a vengeance.get it out from colleges, parties, politics hotels, everywhere. It took #SSRDeathCase for authorities wakeup,” tweeted Raveena.

Reminded of nepotism, Raveena had shared, “mean girl”gang of the industry.Camps do exist.Made fun of,bn removed from films by Heroes, their girlfriends,Journo chamchas&their career destroying fake media stories.Sometimes careers are destroyed.U struggle to keep afloat.fight backSome survive Some Dont. #oldwoundsrevisited.”

She added, “When you speak the truth, you are branded a liar,Mad,psychotic. Chamcha journos write pages&pages destroying all the hard work that you might have done.Even though born in the industry, grateful for all it has given me,but dirty politics played by some can leave a sour taste.”

The actress also wrote, “It can happen to someone born within,an “insider” as I can hear insider/outsider words, some anchors blaring away. But you fight back. The more they tried to bury me,the harder I fought back. Dirty politics happen everywhere. But sometimes one roots for good to win,and Evil to lose.”

She finally ended saying, “I love my industry, but yes,the pressures are high, there are good people and people who play dirty, there are all kinds, but that’s what makes the world. One has to pick up the pieces, walk again and again, with the head held high.Goodnight world.I pray for a better tmrw”

In an interview with Hindustan Times, she elaborated on the point by saying, “There are politics, I agree. And there are good people and there are bad people. This is what I had written in my tweet also. And there are bad people who do plan your failure; I’ve been through it. They are the ones who would want to see you down and removed from films. It’s literally like classroom politics. They play dirty games,. But people like this are there in every industry. We’re in a high profile glamorous job and the competition is cut-throat, so it gets highlighted.”

She recalled an incident that happened to her and said, “I was doing fittings with the film’s designer for an outfit for the evening mahurat party. At 4pm, I get a call that I’ve been dumped from the movie and I’ve to return the signing amount because the hero’s girlfriend didn’t like me.”
