Television host and chef Sruti who’s married to actor Nakul has been known for her social media posts emphasizing the importance of health among pregnant women, and for her messages on topics related to pregnancy such as trauma, body shaming etc.
Now Sruti has made an Instagram post about body shaming associated with pregnancy and she has described her own physical transformation after pregnancy. Nakul and Sruti gave birth to a baby girl Akira earlier this year.
Sharing her photos, Sruti captioned “Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle ! Remember that beauty is only skin deep ! Spare a little time…Each body , each pregnancy, each child is different. You should never be comparing yourself or your child with another ! Everyone is a work in progress”. This post has a sensible note about how women are shamed for their appearance before and after pregnancy. Saying that it’s not easy being a mother. Sruti has questioned if it was necessary to get rid of the scars and that while people celebrate scars they get out of war, Why not out of pregnancy?”.
